Kilnsey is situated right at the very heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park so there is easy access to an abundance of walks and cycle rides throughout the Park. Visit Malham with it’s famous Cove and Gordale Scar, Wensleydale for Middleham Castle, the Wensleydale Creamery and the Wensledale Railway, Nidderdale for How Stean Gorge, Brimham Rocks and Pateley Bridge.
How about a trip over to Ribblehead Viaduct and the dramatic Settle Carlisle Railway, or head east to the fascinating Fountains Abbey or Newby Hall. The market town of Skipton has a famous castle, a lively market, canal trips, lots of excellent shopping and Aireville Park, with it’s swimming pool, Pitch and Putt and children’s play areas. Not forgetting Grassington, a lively small town considered the jewel of Wharfedale, only a 10 minute drive from the barn.
Even closer is the Kilnsey Trout Farm, with fishing, children’s Adventure Trail and playground, gift shop and cafe, the Kilnsey Trekking and Riding Centre in Conistone, and of course the famous Tennant Arms Hotel. The choices are endless.
